Advanced control functions and user comfort
The WANAS Classic 400 V heat recovery unit is a ventilation unit designed to meet the expectations of the most demanding customers. It is characterized by compact dimensions, very quiet operation, and high efficiency. The unit features a 38 cm deep plastic heat exchanger with a large heat exchange surface. This, in addition to high efficiency, ensures low airflow resistance, which translates into low energy consumption. It comes standard with a touchscreen controller and a Smart Heater preheater. Additionally, the unit can be expanded with an internet module, allowing for control from anywhere in the world.
High-efficiency exchanger
WANAS heat recovery units, equipped with a high-efficiency plastic heat exchanger, are a solution designed for those seeking effective and durable mechanical ventilation with heat recovery. The cross-flow counterflow design allows for optimal use of thermal energy, reducing the need for reheating the supply air. The heat recovery units’ efficiency, in accordance with the PN-EN 13141-7 standard, is tested for positive temperatures: +20°C indoors and +7°C outdoors, without condensation in the heat exchanger. However, operation of the unit in sub-zero temperatures, when condensation occurs, is crucial. We take this into account, so the heat exchanger in our units is positioned vertically, allowing for gravity drainage of condensate to a drain pan. This guarantees high thermal efficiency throughout the entire operating period, even at sub-zero temperatures, as condensate does not accumulate in the heat exchanger, as is the case with horizontally positioned heat exchangers. If condensed water vapor remains in a part of the exchanger, this part of the exchanger is excluded from the heat exchange process, which translates into a reduction in its efficiency.
Modern controls
As standard, every WANAS ventilator is equipped with a modern, touchscreen Display V2 wall controller. This elegant panel features a 5-inch glass display, combining intuitive operation with an aesthetic design that complements any interior. The controller has built-in radio communication, allowing you to easily connect additional accessories, such as the MaxiControl humidity sensor or the RCO2 Control sensor. This gives you complete control over the air quality in your home. The Display V2 allows you to manage multiple system components, from the ground heat exchanger (GHE), through the humidifier and cooler, to the water or freon heater. Combined with the ventilator’s motherboard, it creates the most advanced control system in its class – and it’s included as standard. And if you want to expand your ventilation system with additional features in the future, the Display V2 controller will handle them without the need to purchase additional modules. You also have the option of free software updates. This solution grows with your needs.
Intelligent BYPASS in the recuperator
The air handling unit is equipped with a bypass, which manages airflow, allowing for cooling of rooms in the summer by bypassing the heat recovery process. This allows the system to direct cooler outside air directly into the building, naturally lowering room temperatures on cool nights or less hot days. The automatic bypass operates maintenance-free – the system independently assesses weather conditions and adjusts its operating mode to ensure user comfort and minimize energy consumption. What distinguishes our solution from others on the market is that we can automatically set a higher airflow when the bypass is opened, quickly improving comfort in the building. For example, the unit operates at minimum airflow, and when the outside temperature is cooler, the bypass opens, increasing the unit’s efficiency by 100%.
SMART HEATER
The WANAS Classic 400 V heat recovery unit is equipped with a smart heater that automatically adjusts its heating power to current conditions, such as outside temperature and airflow. This automatic regulation ensures optimal heat exchanger protection. The unit only uses a 500W heater, which is still its power consumption even in extremely unfavorable outdoor conditions. During most operating hours, the power will be much lower.
Modbus RTU
MODBUS RTU is a reliable, universal serial communication protocol that enables data exchange between the heat recovery unit and external control systems. Its use allows for integration of our device with any intelligent external building management systems, such as Sinum, Lexon, Grenton, etc. We can control the heat recovery unit from an external system.
More opportunities for you
Enthalpy exchanger
The WANAS 400 V heat recovery unit can be equipped with an enthalpy exchanger, which, in addition to heat recovery, also recovers moisture from exhaust air. This not only minimizes energy losses but also prevents excessive room dryness, which is particularly important during the heating season. The polymer membrane used in the exchanger allows for the transfer of moisture between air streams while preventing the transfer of gases, odors, and pollutants. The exchanger recovers latent heat (related to moisture) and sensible heat (related to temperature). Choosing an enthalpy exchanger is the ideal solution for those who value comfort and healthy air but lack space for a humidifier.
Control your device wherever you are
The WANAS Mobile Control W 25 Wi-Fi internet module is a solution that enables remote control of WANAS ventilators using a smartphone, tablet, or computer. These modules allow for ongoing management of the ventilator’s operation – changing operating modes, adjusting ventilation intensity, and setting operating schedules. These modules allow you to view the device’s operating history and receive notifications, such as filter replacement, via email.
Your home, your rules – smart home with the sinum module
Instead of an internet module, you can install a Sinum control unit and control your heat recovery unit and your entire home from a single wall-mounted panel or a smartphone app. The Sinum control unit allows you to create a so-called smart building, allowing you to manage lighting, energy, heating, and ventilation from a single platform. This way, your home will function according to the rules you establish. Of course, you can change them at any time, as the system is so simple that you can do it from your mobile phone.
The air is always under control
The XF system ensures precise airflow balancing in the ventilation system. It monitors and automatically adjusts the operation of supply and exhaust fans in real time to maintain airflow balance within the system. Four measurement points are installed on the fan, ensuring highly accurate airflow measurement. Our system stands out from the competition by displaying airflow in m³/h in real time.
Wireless humidity control
The maxiControl sensor is a modern, wireless device for measuring humidity and temperature in a room. It allows automatic control of the Umecto humidifier and adjustment of the ventilation unit’s operating mode depending on the humidity level. By installing the sensor in the bathroom, we can automatically trigger the unit to run at speed three if the expected humidity level is exceeded, drying the room faster. Thanks to radio communication with the Display V2 controller, the sensor can be installed at any time and in any location without the need for cables. Its compact dimensions and classic design allow the maxiControl to blend discreetly into any interior.
Zoned ventilation – comfort where you need it
V2-controlled heat recovery units are equipped with a zone ventilation management system as standard. Zone ventilation adjusts the intensity of operation to current user needs, ensuring comfort and energy savings. The system allows the building to be divided into day and night zones, ensuring ventilation operates only where needed. Automatic airflow regulation (using RCO2Control sensors), the ability to operate at lower unit speeds, and time schedules significantly reduce energy consumption and heat loss. Additional benefits include quiet operation and reduced air dryness during the heating season.
CO2 Always under control
By installing a CO2Control sensor in your home, you’ll always have the right level of carbon dioxide. The sensor wirelessly connects to the V2 controller and, when needed, turns the unit on to the appropriate speed to ensure maximum comfort for the user. Using CO2Control sensors, you can implement advanced zone ventilation based on CO2 measured in the room. Your heat recovery unit will increase its efficiency when needed, and when it doesn’t, the unit will operate at the lowest speed to ensure the system is as energy-efficient as possible.
