The WANAS 340 H heat recovery unit, equipped with a high-efficiency heat exchanger, is a solution designed for those seeking effective and economical mechanical ventilation with heat recovery. Its cross-counterflow design allows for optimal use of thermal energy, significantly reducing the need for reheating supply air. The heat exchanger is vertically positioned in the unit, allowing for gravity condensate drainage into a stainless steel drain pan. This design guarantees high thermal efficiency throughout its lifespan and eliminates the need for “blowing the exchanger” to remove water, as is the case with horizontally mounted exchangers.

The cross-flow/counterflow design allows for optimal utilization of thermal energy, reducing the need for reheating the supply air. The heat exchanger in the unit is vertically positioned, allowing for gravity drainage of condensate to a drain pan. This guarantees high thermal efficiency throughout the entire operating period and eliminates the need to “purge the exchanger” to remove water, as is the case with horizontal installations.
Modern controls
The price of the device includes a Display V3 wall controller. The most important functions of the device are accessible from the control panel, while other settings can be made via the internet or Bluetooth. Software updates can be automatically performed via the internet using a mobile phone. If multiple units are installed in a single facility, we can provide basic functions to the user and leave advanced functions to the facility manager or installer.
Automatic BYPASS in the recuperator
The ventilation unit is equipped with a bypass that manages airflow, allowing rooms to be cooled in the summer by bypassing the heat recovery process. This allows the system to direct cooler outside air directly into the building, naturally lowering room temperatures on cool nights or less hot days. The automatic bypass is maintenance-free – the system independently assesses weather conditions and adjusts its operating mode to ensure user comfort and minimize energy consumption.
SMART HEATER
The WANAS Classic 340 H heat recovery unit is equipped with a smart heater that automatically adjusts its heating power to current conditions, such as outside temperature and airflow. This automatic regulation ensures optimal heat exchanger protection. The unit only uses a 500W heater, which is still its power consumption even in extremely unfavorable outdoor conditions. During most operating hours, the power will be much lower.
Modbus RTU
MODBUS RTU is a reliable, universal serial communication protocol that enables data exchange between the heat recovery unit and external control systems. Its use allows for integration of our device with any intelligent external building management systems, such as Sinum, Lexon, Grenton, etc. We can control the heat recovery unit from an external system.
Control your device wherever you are
The V3 wall panel has a built-in Wi-Fi module, allowing you to access the device from anywhere in the world. You can easily set things like the weekly program, bypass functions, and party functions, as well as check the device’s operating history. Installing the V3 panel allows the manufacturer to provide remote service and assistance with device setup.
