The maxiControl humidity sensor included in the set automatically adjusts operating parameters to current conditions, ensuring optimum air quality all year round. The intuitive DISPLAY V2 touchscreen control panel allows for easy operation of all the unit’s functions, and thanks to the option of using the WANAS MOBILE CONTROL module, the system can be managed remotely via a mobile app. The user gains full control over ventilation, humidity levels, supply air temperature and the heating function, regardless of their location.
Modern control systems
As standard, every WANAS heat recovery unit is fitted with a modern, touchscreen wall-mounted Display V2 controller. It is an elegant panel with a 5-inch glass display, combining intuitive operation with an aesthetic design that complements any interior. The controller has built-in radio communication, allowing you to easily connect additional accessories – such as the MaxiControl humidity sensor or the RCO2 Control sensor. This gives you full control over the air quality in your home. The Display V2 enables you to manage numerous components of the system – from the GWC, through the humidifier and cooler, right up to the water or freon heater. Combined with the heat recovery unit’s main board, it creates the most advanced control system in its class – and this comes as standard with the unit. And if you wish to expand your ventilation system with additional functions in the future, the Display V2 controller will support them without the need to purchase extra modules. You also have the option of free software updates. It’s a solution that grows with your needs.
The heat exchanger with the highest efficiency
The heat exchanger is a key component of any heat-recovery air handling unit; the actual efficiency of the entire system depends on its design and build quality. WANAS heat recovery units are fitted with a modern heat exchanger made of durable, high-performance plastic, designed in a cross-counterflow configuration. This design allows for maximum utilisation of the thermal energy contained in the extract air, which significantly reduces the need for additional heating of the supply air.
The heat exchanger is positioned vertically within the unit, enabling natural, gravity-fed drainage of condensate directly into a stainless steel drip tray. This solution eliminates the need for additional functions, such as ‘blowing through’ the heat exchanger to remove water – a common feature in designs where the heat exchanger is positioned horizontally. The absence of the need for additional ventilation translates into lower energy consumption, higher thermal efficiency and stable, trouble-free operation of the unit throughout its service life.
Evaporative humidifier
The evaporative humidifier in the WANAS Combo 630 V/H heat recovery unit is an innovative solution that ensures optimal humidity levels indoors whilst improving air quality. The evaporative humidifier utilises the natural process of water evaporation, which is the healthiest and most effective way of humidifying the air. Water is distributed across a special evaporative mat through which air flows. During this process, the water evaporates, increasing the humidity of the air without the risk of oversaturating it with moisture.
The air is always under control
The XF system ensures precise balancing of air flows within the ventilation system. It monitors and automatically adjusts the operation of supply and extract fans in real time to maintain a balance of air flows within the system. There are as many as four measurement points installed on the fan, which guarantees a very precise measurement of air flow. Our system stands out from the competition thanks to its ability to display air flow in m³/h in real time.
BYPASS
Bypass is an advanced feature in ventilation systems that allows the heat exchanger to be bypassed under certain conditions. Thanks to this solution, fresh air from outside is fed directly into the rooms without being heated in the heat exchanger. This allows interiors to be cooled effectively in a natural and energy-efficient manner. The bypass function operates fully automatically, using data from temperature and humidity sensors, ensuring maximum comfort without the need for user intervention.
Heat sensibly
Smart modulating heater – a modern solution for ventilation systems. Its main purpose is to maintain a stable supply air temperature, even under changing external conditions. This modulation helps to avoid sudden temperature fluctuations, thereby enhancing user comfort. Furthermore, its modulating operation eliminates energy losses by precisely adjusting the heating output to current demand.
Modbus RTU
WANAS heat recovery units support communication via the Modbus RTU standard – one of the most reliable and versatile serial protocols used in building automation.
This enables full integration of the unit with external building management systems, such as Sinum, Grenton, Loxone and other smart home solutions. The Modbus RTU protocol allows for two-way data exchange – both for reading the heat recovery unit’s operating parameters and for remotely controlling its functions.
This flexible solution allows, amongst other things:
– Changing operating modes and fan speeds
– Monitoring temperatures and other parameters in real time
– Integration with sensors and home automation scenarios
WANAS units can be integrated with a wide range of modern control systems, providing greater control, automation and comfort in everyday use.
Wireless moisture level monitoring
The maxiControl sensor is a modern, wireless device for measuring humidity and temperature indoors. It enables automatic control of the Umecto humidifier and adjustment of the air handling unit’s operating mode depending on the humidity level. By installing the sensor in the bathroom, we can automatically switch the ventilation unit to speed 3 if the expected humidity level is exceeded, thereby drying the room more quickly. Thanks to wireless communication with the Display V2 controller, the sensor can be installed at any time and in any location without the need for wiring. Its compact dimensions and classic design mean that the maxiControl blends discreetly into any interior.
The interior of the control unit is made entirely from EPP.
The interior of the unit is made entirely from EPP material. This ensures excellent insulation and a stable, airtight and lightweight construction. The internal partitions have rounded shapes, which ensure a more laminar airflow, thereby reducing the unit’s noise levels and energy consumption.
Your home, your rules – A smart home with an internet module
The WANAS Mobile Control W-25 Wi-Fi internet module is a solution that enables remote control of WANAS heat recovery units via a smartphone, tablet or computer. The modules allow for real-time management of the heat recovery unit’s operation – changing operating modes, adjusting ventilation intensity and setting operating schedules. Users also have access to key information, such as air flow, temperature, humidity levels and filter status, which makes it easier to monitor indoor air quality.
The modules send notifications regarding the need to replace filters, system malfunctions or the need for servicing, thereby increasing the reliability of the installation.
Sinum
The heat recovery unit with the V2 controller is pre-integrated with the Polish SINUM management system. By installing this system, you can control the heat recovery unit from a single panel, such as a tablet mounted on the wall. This opens up more possibilities regarding the operation of the heat recovery unit, such as activating the cooler when there is surplus energy from the photovoltaic system.
Home Assistant
Home Assistant is the most popular and open-source building management system, known as a ‘smart home’. On this platform, too, you can download a ready-made integration with a heat recovery unit featuring V2 control.
Expandability – tailored to your needs.
Water and freon cooled heaters and coolers
The WANAS COMBO heat recovery unit can be fitted with a water-based or freon-based heating/cooling coil, which significantly increases its heating or cooling capacity. Water-based heating and cooling units use water as the heating medium, whilst freon-based versions operate using a refrigerant, ensuring rapid and effective heating or cooling. Integrating these units ensures high energy efficiency and improves thermal comfort indoors, adapting the system to changing outdoor conditions and delivering energy savings all year round.
Generator
The WANAS COMBO heat recovery unit can be fitted with a unit that significantly expands its functionality, adding the ability to effectively manage room temperatures. The unit acts as an additional source of heat or cooling, ensuring optimum temperature control, particularly in extreme weather conditions. Integration with the ventilation system allows for rapid adaptation to changing conditions, ensuring comfort and energy savings all year round.
Buffer
By adding a buffer to the WANAS COMBO system, it is possible to use energy more efficiently. The buffer stores heat or cold, allowing the system to adapt to fluctuating energy demand. This buffer helps to stabilise room temperatures, eliminating unwanted temperature fluctuations and optimising energy consumption, which translates into lower running costs and greater comfort for users.
