Advanced control functions and user comfort
The WANAS Classic 545 XF heat recovery unit is a compact ventilation unit with horizontal spigots, designed for single-family homes, offices, commercial and service facilities. It is characterized by very low energy consumption, quiet operation, high thermal efficiency, and ease of use. Its robust, non-flammable construction and aluminum cross-counterflow heat exchanger ensure durability and high efficiency. The unit is designed for ventilation of rooms up to 320 m². It comes standard with a touchscreen controller and a preheater. Additionally, the unit can be expanded with an internet module, allowing you to control your unit from anywhere in the world.
High-efficiency plastic heat exchanger
WANAS heat recovery units, equipped with a high-efficiency plastic heat exchanger, are a solution designed for those seeking effective and durable mechanical ventilation with heat recovery. The cross-flow/counterflow design allows for optimal use of thermal energy, reducing the need for reheating the supply air. The heat exchanger in the unit is vertically positioned, allowing for gravity drainage of condensate to the drain pan. This ensures high thermal efficiency throughout the entire operating period and eliminates the need to “purge the exchanger” to remove water, as is the case with horizontal installations.
The air is always under control
The XF system ensures precise airflow balancing in the ventilation system. The system monitors and automatically adjusts the operation of supply and exhaust fans in real time to ensure airflow balance within the system. Four measuring nozzles are installed on each fan, ensuring a more precise measurement than with a single nozzle. What distinguishes the system is that the user can view the current measured airflow on both fans on the V2 controller.
Modern controls
The price includes a modern, touchscreen Display V2 wall controller. The 5.0-inch panel, made of elegant glass, stands out for its intuitive operation and perfectly complements any interior style, combining functionality with aesthetic design. The panel is also equipped with radio communication, allowing you to connect a MaxiControl or RCO2 Control humidity sensor. From the controller panel, you can control, among other things, the ground heat exchanger (GWC), humidifier, cooler, water heater, or freon heater. Combined with the heat recovery unit’s motherboard, the Display V2 is the most feature-rich controller on the market and is included as standard with the heat recovery unit.
Intelligent BYPASS in the recuperator
The air handling unit is equipped with a bypass, which manages airflow, allowing for cooling of rooms in the summer by bypassing the heat recovery process. This allows the system to direct cooler outside air directly into the building, naturally lowering room temperatures on cool nights or less hot days. The automatic bypass operates maintenance-free – the system independently assesses weather conditions and adjusts its operating mode to ensure user comfort and minimize energy consumption. What distinguishes our solution from others on the market is that we can automatically set a higher airflow when the bypass is opened, quickly improving comfort in the building. For example, the unit operates at minimum airflow, and when the outside temperature is cooler, the bypass opens, increasing the unit’s efficiency by 100%.
SMART HEATER
The WANAS Classic 545 XF heat recovery unit is equipped with a smart heater that automatically adjusts its heating power to current conditions, such as outside temperature and airflow. This automatic regulation ensures optimal heat exchanger protection. The unit’s installed heater only consumes 500W, which is still its power consumption even in extremely unfavorable outdoor conditions. During most operating hours, the power will be much lower.
Modbus RTU
MODBUS RTU is a reliable, universal serial communication protocol that enables data exchange between the heat recovery unit and external control systems. Its use allows for integration of our device with any intelligent external building management systems, such as Lexon, Grenton, etc. We can control the heat recovery unit from an external system.

Wireless humidity control
The maxiControl sensor is a modern, wireless device for measuring humidity and temperature in a room. It allows automatic control of the Umecto humidifier and adjustment of the ventilation unit’s operating mode depending on the humidity level. By installing the sensor in the bathroom, we can automatically trigger the unit to run at speed three if the expected humidity level is exceeded, drying the room faster. Thanks to radio communication with the Display V2 controller, the sensor can be installed at any time and in any location without the need for cables. Its compact dimensions and classic design allow the maxiControl to blend discreetly into any interior.
Your home, your rules – smart home with the sinum module
Instead of an internet module, you can install a Sinum control unit and control your heat recovery unit and your entire home from a single wall-mounted panel or a smartphone app. The Sinum control unit allows you to create a so-called smart building, allowing you to manage lighting, energy, heating, and ventilation from a single platform. This way, your home will function according to the rules you establish. Of course, you can change them at any time, as the system is so simple that you can do it from your mobile phone.
Control your device wherever you are
The WANAS Mobile Control W-25 internet module is a solution that enables remote control of WANAS heat recovery units using a smartphone, tablet, or computer. These modules allow for ongoing management of the unit’s operation, including changing operating modes, adjusting ventilation intensity, and setting operating schedules. These modules allow you to view the unit’s operating history and receive email alerts, such as when filters need to be replaced.
CO2 Always under control
By installing a CO2Control sensor in your home, you’ll always have the right level of carbon dioxide. The sensor wirelessly connects to the V2 controller and, when needed, turns the unit on to the appropriate speed to ensure maximum comfort for the user. Using CO2Control sensors, you can implement advanced zone ventilation based on CO2 measured in the room. Your heat recovery unit will increase its efficiency when needed, and when it doesn’t, the unit will operate at the lowest speed to ensure the system is as energy-efficient as possible.
Zoned ventilation – comfort where you need it
V2-controlled heat recovery units are equipped with a zone ventilation management system as standard. Zone ventilation adjusts the intensity of operation to current user needs, ensuring comfort and energy savings. The system allows the building to be divided into day and night zones, ensuring ventilation operates only where needed. Automatic airflow regulation (using RCO2Control sensors), the ability to operate at lower unit speeds, and time schedules significantly reduce energy consumption and heat loss. Additional benefits include quiet operation and reduced air dryness during the heating season.
