Advanced control functions and ease of use
The WANAS Classic 1315 H XF heat recovery unit is a compact air handling unit with a horizontal connection layout, designed for the ventilation of detached houses, offices, and service and commercial premises. It is characterised by very low energy consumption, quiet operation, high thermal efficiency and ease of use. Its robust, non-combustible construction and aluminium cross-counterflow heat exchanger ensure durability and high efficiency. The heat recovery unit is designed for ventilating rooms with a floor area of up to 620 m². It comes as standard with a touchscreen controller, a pre-heater and an internet module, enabling remote control from anywhere in the world.
High-efficiency aluminium heat exchanger
WANAS heat recovery units, fitted with a high-efficiency aluminium heat exchanger, are the ideal solution for those seeking effective and durable mechanical ventilation with heat recovery. The cross-counterflow design allows for optimal utilisation of thermal energy, which results in a reduced need to reheat the supply air. The heat exchanger in the unit is positioned vertically, allowing condensate to drain by gravity into a drip tray. This ensures high thermal efficiency throughout the entire operating period and eliminates the need for so-called ‘exchanger purging’ to remove water from it, as is the case with horizontal installations.
The air is always under control
The XF system ensures precise balancing of airflows within the ventilation system. The system monitors and automatically adjusts the operation of supply and extract fans in real time to ensure a balance of airflows throughout the system. As many as four measuring nozzles are fitted to the fan, which guarantees a much higher measurement accuracy than is the case with a single nozzle. What sets the system apart is that, on the V2 controller, the user can view the current measured air flow on both fans.
Modern control systems
The price of the unit includes a modern, touchscreen wall-mounted Display V2 control panel. The 5.0-inch panel, made from elegant glass, stands out for its intuitive operation and fits perfectly into any interior style, combining functionality with an aesthetic design. The panel is also equipped with radio communication, allowing you to connect a MaxiControl or RCO2 Control humidity sensor to it. From the control panel, you can control, amongst other things, the GWC, a humidifier, a cooling unit, and a water or freon heater. The V2 display, when combined with the heat recovery unit’s main board, constitutes the most feature-rich controller on the market, which comes as standard with the heat recovery unit.
Smart BYPASS in the heat recovery unit
The air handling unit is fitted with a BYPASS system, which manages air flow, enabling rooms to be cooled during the summer by bypassing the heat recovery process. This allows the system to direct cooler air from outside directly into the building, with the aim of naturally lowering room temperatures on cool nights or less hot days. The automatic bypass operates maintenance-free – the system independently assesses weather conditions and adjusts its operating mode to ensure user comfort and minimise energy consumption. What sets our solution apart from others available on the market is that we can automatically set the unit to a higher output when the bypass is opened, in order to improve comfort within the building more quickly. For example, the unit operates at minimum output, but when it is cooler outside, the bypass opens and the unit increases its output by 100 per cent.
SMART HEATER
The WANAS Classic 1315 XF heat recovery unit is fitted with a ‘smart heater’, which automatically adjusts its heating power to current conditions, i.e. the outside temperature and air flow. Thanks to this automatic control, the unit ensures optimum protection of the heat exchanger. The unit is fitted with a heater with a power rating of just 3000 W, and even this is the power consumption under extremely adverse outdoor conditions. For most of its operating time, the power consumption will be much lower.
Modbus RTU
MODBUS RTU is a reliable, highly versatile serial communication protocol that enables data exchange between the heat recovery unit and external control systems. Its use allows our unit to be integrated with any external smart building management systems, such as Lexon, Grenton, etc. We can control the operation of the heat recovery unit from an external system.

Control your device wherever you are
The WANAS W-25 internet module is a solution that enables remote control of WANAS heat recovery units via a smartphone, tablet or computer. The modules allow you to manage the heat recovery unit’s operation in real time – changing operating modes, adjusting ventilation intensity and setting operating schedules. Thanks to the modules, you can view the device’s operating history and receive notifications, for example, via email, regarding the need to replace filters.
Your home, your rules – a smart home with the Sinum module
Instead of the internet module, you can install the Sinum control unit and control your heat recovery unit and your entire home from a single wall-mounted panel, or via a mobile app. The Sinum control centre enables you to create a so-called smart home; from a single platform, you can manage lighting, energy, heating and ventilation. This means your home will operate according to the rules you set; of course, you can change them at any time, as the system is simple enough for you to do so from your mobile phone.
Wireless moisture level monitoring
The maxiControl sensor is a modern, wireless device for measuring humidity and temperature indoors. It enables automatic control of the Umecto humidifier and adjustment of the air handling unit’s operating mode depending on the humidity level. By installing the sensor in the bathroom, we can automatically switch the ventilation unit to speed 3 if the expected humidity level is exceeded, thereby drying the room more quickly. Thanks to wireless communication with the Display V2 controller, the sensor can be installed at any time and in any location without the need for wiring. Its compact dimensions and classic design mean that the maxiControl blends discreetly into any interior.
Zone ventilation – comfort where it’s needed
Zone ventilation – comfort where you need it. By installing a CO2Control sensor in your home, you can always ensure that carbon dioxide levels remain at the right level. The sensor connects wirelessly to the V2 controller and, when necessary, switches the unit to the appropriate setting to ensure the highest possible comfort for the user. By using CO2Control sensors, you can set up an advanced zonal ventilation system that operates based on the CO₂ levels measured in the room, Your heat recovery unit will increase its output when needed, and when it isn’t, the control unit will operate at the lowest setting to ensure the system is as energy-efficient as possible.
