Thanks to its flexible design, thermal insulation and excellent sound-attenuation properties, the SONIQFLEX silencer is widely used in ventilation systems. It is ideal for reducing the noise generated by fans in air-handling units, and its flexible design facilitates the connection of a heat recovery unit to the ducts.
On one side, it features a spigot connection with a seal; on the other, a socket connection. The silencer’s end cap is made of a rubber mat, ensuring a tight seal with the heat recovery unit.
The SONIQFLEX silencer features an internal duct made of modern polypropylene non-woven fabric, permanently treated with a specialised antibacterial coating. Its purpose is to limit the growth of bacteria, fungi and other microorganisms that may occur in a poorly maintained ventilation system.
Compared to traditional flexible silencers, SONIQFLEX ensures more hygienic conditions inside the duct, thereby providing long-lasting protection for the sound-absorbing material. This translates into a longer service life for the silencer and greater safety in its use – both in residential buildings and in facilities with heightened hygiene requirements.
